Family vacation insights report launched by PGAV Destinations

PGAV Destinations has published new research that offers "groundbreaking" insights into the planning, enjoyment and processing of family vacations - both domestic and overseas.
The Art of the Family Vacation was compiled by H2R Market Research on behalf of PGAV, which involved more than 700 families across the US taking part in an online panel.
According to PGAV, some of the findings had"firmly cemented long-held understandings" of families on holiday, but others "look to redefine how destinations prepare".
The research reveals the most important considerations about potential holiday destinations for families, with a combination of democracy and autocracy in decision-making.
More than a third negotiating trade-offs with children in order to convince them to attend an academic institution, while males are more interested in destination technology.
PGAV principal Mike Konzen said: "This research validates lessons that we've learned through our many years of destination planning and design.
"But it's important that we freely share this knowledge to create better experiences for the family demographic which makes up half of all visitors who attend attractions."
