Fans move into 'hobbit village'
A film distributor has built a 'hobbit village' to accommodate hundreds of fans queuing to buy tickets for the second film in the JRR Tolkien trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
The Independent reported that the village opened 10 days before tickets go on sale on 4 November and fans living in the village have to build their own dwellings and create their own costumes, inspired by 'Middle Earth'.
The best-dressed fans can win prizes. The village facilities include small houses, a miniature inn and teepee-like tents. There will be repeated showings of the first film.
