Fanta Wild opens in China
The US$200m (140m euro, £98m) Fanta Wild Adventure Theme Park has opened for a trial run in Wuhu City in China’s Anhui province.
The 1.25 million sq m (13.5 million sq ft) site aims to attract up to three million visitors a year.
Fanta Wild has a strong emphasis on water rides, with a ‘splash’ area of 720,000 sq m (7.8 million sq ft). Other attractions include a range of dark rides, roller coasters and a themed Dinosaur Island.
According to Xinhua, China’s state news service, park officials have not given an official opening date.
The park’s owner, Shenzhen-based Huaqiang Group, intends to develop the park into the biggest high-tech theme park in China.
