Fat Duck named top dog
The Fat Duck restaurant in Bray, Berkshire, has been named Europe’s best restaurant by a panel of more than 300 restaurateurs, chefs and critics.
The restaurant, headed by chef, Heston Blumenthal, came second in the annual Restaurant Magazine awards which list the world’s top restaurants.
California-based French Laundry, run by Tomas Keller, narrowly beat the Fat Duck for top spot in the world.
Blumenthal, a self-taught chef, already holds the record for achieving three Michelin stars more quickly than any other UK restaurant.
