Finding love in the gym

The gym is the most popular place to find love, according to a recent survey by Holmes Place.

The survey of more than 6,000 male and female Holmes Place members found that 68 per cent of them had found their partner at the gym. The second most popular place to meet a partner was through speed dating, followed by the more traditional pubs and bars.

Marketing director, Nick Burrows, said the results were hardly surprising given the amount of time people spend at the gym: “It’s bound to have an effect. Group classes in particular are great for meeting new people in a really friendly environment.”
