Fire Regulations Reform 2006 – on-site training available through Patron Suppliers Stuart Alexander
With the new changes to UK fire regulations due to be published this month, BHA Patron Suppliers Stuart Alexander are offering members the necessary training to prepare them for the changes.
Under the new regulations, hoteliers and restaurateurs will be required to appoint a ‘competent person’ as the fire officer for their establishment.
This could be a member of staff or an externally appointed third party, but they must be trained to understand and apply the new regulations.
This training can be undertaken free of charge at one of Stuart Alexander’s workshops. The first of these will be held at Stuart Alexander’s Central London offices in Fenchurch Street on 20-21 February. The dates and venues of the other workshops will be released shortly.
Stuart Alexander is also offering all members an on-premises full written fire risk assessment conducted by one of their appointed specialist consultants, where more specific advice relating to the individual business can be received. The cost of this service is available from £350 + VAT per session.
Stuart Alexander also advises members that some companies who offer similar training workshops are not vested in the hospitality industry, and may not have the specific expertise necessary to provide appropriate training.
For further information on the on-site training services, please contact Jason Cobine, business development executive, on +44 (0)20 7335 0688 or email [email protected]
