Two teenagers are being sought by Greater Manchester Police after part of Oldham Athletic Football Club's (OAFC) Boundary Park stadium was "badly damaged" by fire.
According to the npower League One club, the incident is estimated to have caused around £40,000 worth of damage to the ground's Corner Flag Suite, which houses a matchday hospitality suite and the disabled seating area. Police have released images of the two young people they wish to speak to with regards to the incident, both of whom are described as being between 14 and 18 years old and were seen scaling the stadium's perimeter fence
OAFC chief executive Alan Hardy said: "There is significant damage to the disabled platform and the hospitality suite. We will have to make a decision whether the suite is removed or repaired. "When you look at the smoke and water damage, damage to the platform and hospitality suite, electrics, CCTV and PA systems you could be looking at a cost upwards of £40,000."
