First Kidspace opens in Romford
England and Chelsea FC footballer Joe Cole officially opened the new children’s entertainment complex Kidspace in Romford on 13 December.
Located at The Brewery Leisure and Retail Centre, the 20,000sq ft (1,850sq m) centre is designed for children aged between six months and 12 years old.
For the youngest children there is a Toddler Zone themed around robots and water while for older kids there are climbing walls, dodgems and a ropes course as well as a large play structure with rides, flumes and a ball gun arena.
For waiting parents and carers there is a restaurant and relaxation area with televisions and an internet café as well as the Italian-style Pod Café.
The concept was created by entrepreneur Charley Farley and his business partner Nick de Candole.
Following the launch of the first site, which opened to the public on 19 November, Farley and de Candole plan to roll the brand out around the country. Details: www.kidspaceadventures.com
