Wyndham Hotel Group has signed a franchise agreement to open its first Wyndham Hotels and Resorts property in India.

Located in New Delhi, the 394-room Wyndham New Delhi Dwarka Hotel - owned by Tirupati Buildings & Offices Pvt - is currently under construction and scheduled to open in April this year. Facilities at the property are to include full-service Indian and multi-cuisine restaurants, a nightclub, swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, business centre and 14,000sq ft (1,300sq m) of meeting and banquet space.

A luxury shopping mall will be opening alongside the hotel. The new signing follows a year of rapid growth in Asia for the company, with China having seen six Wyndham-branded hotels opening during the period and construction proceeding on a further seven.
