First aparthotel for Heathrow
Macdonald Hotels has opened Macdonald Berkeley Park - a £5m aparthotel, five minutes from Heathrow airport.
The company says that as the first of its kind at the airport, the aparthotel combines the service of a four-star hotel with the freedom of an apartment and provides a 'home from home' environment.
As well as free parking and 24-security, Macdonald Berkeley Park has a 24-hour reception and concierge, a daily maid service and a shopping delivery service. Prices start at £120 per night per apartment (sleeps 4).
Macdonald Berkeley Park was developed by property investment company, Pearl Pacific, headed by director Nathan Cozens, who says the aparthotel offers a fantastic alternative any type of traveller: 'I have been watching the growth of aparthotels with interest and felt that Heathrow was the ideal location for this type of serviced accommodation.'
