First ever spa opens in Mongolia
The first spa to reportedly open in Mongolia has launched within the Terelj hotel and resort in the Terelj National Park.
Located a one-hour drive from the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar, the multi-million pound spa is managed by UK native Lucy Argent and has been designed by Canadian Louis de Araujo.
Called the Tereljmaa Spa, it occupies an entire wing of the hotel and covers two floors.
Facilities include six treatment rooms – including two double treatment rooms – a large relaxation room, a manicure and pedicure area and saunas.
There is also a large swimming pool and a gym area, equipped by Technogym.
Treatments combine Mongolian influences and western philosophies and use Aromatherapy Associates and Phytomer products.
The remodelling of the spa area, along with the design and construction, took more than four years to complete.
The spa has been created to appeal to the higher end of the Mongolian market, as well as international travellers. Details: tereljhotel.com
