Fitbug secures US distribution deal with Scifit
UK-based Fitbug Holdings, provider of online fitness services, has secured a partnership agreement with equipment manufacturer Scifit.
The deal will see Fitbug's personal well-being technology - which includes a small device, 'the bug', that calculates daily exercise levels - being offered to Scifit's client base in the US.
Scifit specialises in supplying equipment to military, rehabilitation, medical and education programmes.
Therefore it is hoped that Fitbug's technology will offer a natural fit with Scifit's customers, offering them the benefit of a non-gym based exercise component to their programmes.
Fitbug chief executive Paul Landau said: "As part of our strategy to introduce Fitbug to the US market, this relationship marks an important milestone.
"Our programme is low risk and low impact and can be used in conjunction with additional exercise, providing soldiers and others undergoing rehabilitation with a tool with which to monitor their exercise levels on an everyday basis."
