Fitness First reaches 500th club milestone
By
UK-based health club chain Fitness First has opened its 500th club – in the centre of Sydney, Australia.
The club is the group’s 66th in the country. Fitness First Australia’s managing director Tony de Leede said: “After six years of operation, Fitness First Australia has become the global benchmark of our group, contributing 30 per cent of the value of the company, despite only operating one eighth of the clubs globally.”
In the UK, Fitness First is set to open three new sites early in 2007, in Bath, Brentwood and Bristol.
