Fitness equipment market research
A major review of the UK fitness equipment market analysing market size, key trends, product mix and customer buying behaviour has been published by AMA Research.
Aimed as a tool for sales and marketing professionals in the industry, the report forecasts the market to increase to £301m at manufactures sales prices by the end of 2004.
The commercial market is estimated to account for 60 per cent of the UK fitness equipment market with CV equipment accounting for up to 65 per cent of the market by value. Life Fitness UK is the market leader in the commercial sector followed by Technogym UK and Pulse Fitness. Foreign imports account for up to 75 per cent of total sales.
Further growth is expected in the home fitness equipment market over the next three years with exercise bikes still the most popular product in this sector.
