Fitness ventures acquires wellbridge
Fitness Ventures LLC – comprising Wellbridge Company CEO Ed Williams and Wellbridge COO Jay Kell – and Central Sports Company of Japan have announced the buyout of Colorado-based Wellbridge.
Williams and Kell, both former IHRSA board members, will continue their roles in the company.
Wellbridge, which was co-founded by Williams in 1983, owns and manages 20 facilities in the US, ranging from athletic clubs to spas.
Central Sports Company of Japan was established in 1970 and is known for its active role in coaching athletics. It operates 157 full service clubs, primarily in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
