FlowRider to be added to Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa
Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio is to become one of just a few hotels across the US - and the first in Texas - to provide a FlowRider among its facilities.
The 54ft x 22ft (16m x 7m) experience simulates a "barrel-less" waves and incorporates a sloped wave surface. It will be added to the hotel's existing 4-acre (1.6-hectare) waterpark.
General manager Gino Caliendo said: "While regional water parks may offer knee boarding we are thrilled to be the first location in Texas with a stand-up surfing option."
In addition to its waterpark, the property also includes Windflower-The Hill Country Spa - a retreat inspired by the traditional harvest of Texas herbs and wildflowers.
