Welton-by-Lincoln Parish Council has received a grant worth more than £250,000 from the Football Foundation towards new community sports facilities in Welton, Lincolnshire.
The development represents a total investment of £500,000 and has also been given support by West Lindsey District Council; WREN; and the parish council itself.
LK2 Development Services is working with the parish council to deliver the project, which will include the refurbishment of existing facilities to provide a new sports pavilion.
The pavilion will boast officials' rooms; an extension with new changing rooms; and a large community room. A 3G artificial grass pitch with improved floodlighting is also planned.
Richard Pikett, chair of the Welton-by-Lincoln Parish Council, said: "The council is deeply indebted to the Football Foundation for providing significant funding towards this project."
