Four Seasons opens first private island resort in the Maldives
Four Seasons has announced that it has now opened its first private island resort, the Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah, Baa Atoll (Voavah) – located in an exclusive-use UNESCO hideaway in a World Biosphere Reserve.
Voavah is a secluded five-acre (two hectare) resort that houses a spa - the Ocean of Consciousness Spa - which provides treatments based on the five pathways of truth, wise action, love, peace, and compassion.
Guests can undertake yoga, meditation and pranayama classes, receive high-end beauty treatments and have a Rossano Ferretti hair consultant on call throughout their stay. The resort also offers a dive school, pool deck and gym.
Voavah was designed by architects MICD Associates and its interiors were created by Avalon Collective.
Earlier this year, Armando Kraenzlin, regional vice president and general manager, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru said: “At Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah, guests can design their own experience.
“They can treat the island as a space to spend captivating moments with family and friends; a place to play to the extreme and explore to their heart’s content; a secluded sanctuary to retreat and spa; the most exclusive VIP venue to celebrate and party; or an inspiring landscape to meet and motivate.”
