Four Seasons to open urban spa at Hotel Tokyo
Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Chinzan-so, Japan, is set to open the new Yu Spa on 1 November.
The 2,070sq m (22,200sq ft) spa will be the largest to open in Tokyo since a 1,400sq m (15,100sq ft) facility launched at the Conrad Toyko in July.
As well as six treatment rooms, the US$2.8m (£1.6m, 2.4m euro) spa features two couples' rooms and a 115sq m (1,240sq ft) VIP suite.
Facilities include traditional indoor cedar baths, a heated swimming pool with retractable roof and a Japanese garden with outdoor onsen baths.
Treatments, such as Sake Clay Cocoon and Red Plum Blossom Mindfulness Ritual, feature signature Four Seasons oils, created by blending seasonal herbs and flowers found in the Chinzan-so gardens. Details: www.fourseasons.com/tokyo
