Fresh hope for Horsham leisure centre?
Horsham District Council (HDC) is to reconsider plans for the closure and demolition of Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre,West Sussex, following public support for the venue.
Revised recommendations to go before the full council today (21 December) as part of the Leisure Futures Study will call for a business case to explore the site's future.
HDC cabinet member for arts, heritage and leisure Jonathan Chowan has recommended a full consultation be undertaken, with no decision to be taken before May 2012.
Chowan said: "I accept that people do want to see a more detailed business case before irrevocable decisions about the future of Broadbridge Heath are taken by the full council."
