Funded training available for fitness staff working in London hotel clubs
The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) is facilitating a programme of training funded by the London Development Agency (LDA) – the Mayor’s agency for business and jobs – aimed at up-skilling instructors working within London hotel-based health clubs.
The LDA has provided a grant of £160,000 for the REPs to produce a training programme to help ensure employees are fully-equipped to deal with the unique demands their jobs place on them.
REPs Registrar Cliff Collins said: “Exercise professionals working in hotels need a broad skills base, not least because of the diverse and transient nature of their clients.
“We hope this programme, which has been specifically tailored to meet these needs, will help address any shortfall and ensure both staff and clients are being offered the best service possible.”
The programme offers training at level two including working with children, working with older adults, and diversity.
If you are an exercise professional or employer working in a London hotel club and wish to know more about this funded programme please contact Robert McGregor at the Register of Exercise Professionals on +44 (0)20 8686 6464 or e-mail [email protected]
