Funding boost for Scottish basketball
basketballscotland has received funding totalling £275,000 from sportscotland.
The grants will in part be used to drive up participation and to retain talented young players in the sport.
According to Kevin Pringle, chief executive of basketballscotland, the funding will assist the organisation to establish a Regional Talent Development Programme, which will be rolled out across the country.
“The sportscotland investment is critical in our ongoing work to develop basketball in Scotland,” he said. “The funding allows us to continue to establish the infrastructure that will provide opportunities for every player to develop to their potential.”
