Further pub sales by Enterprise Inns
Enterprise Inns is to sell a further ten of its London pubs in its latest sale and leaseback auction.
Being handled by Allsops, the sale is hoped to raise around £13m. As with previous such sales, the proceeds are expected to go towards paying down Enterprise Inns' debts. The pubs going under the hammer include The One Tun in Hatton Garden; Belushi's, Camden Town; The Commander, Bayswater; The Town of Ramsgate, Wapping; and The Rosslyn Arms, Hampstead.
Buyers seeking a touch of notoriety with their purchase could perhaps look at Lot 64, The Blind Beggar in Stepney's Whitechapel Road. The pub is renowned as being the scene of the 1960s gangland killing of George Cornell by one of the notorious Kray twins. Alternatively, it is said to be the location of the founding of the Salvation Army in 1865.
