Fusion to manage Badminton England site
Leisure trust Fusion has been appointed to manage Badminton England's health and fitness facilities in Milton Keynes.
The facility is used as the training centre for England's world class performance and Olympic squads and boosts Fusion's diverse estate of leisure centres, lidos and sports facilities.
Previously run by Virgin Active, the health club features two air-conditioned gyms, studios and saunas.
Fusion has announced plans to invest £400,000 in improving the facilities, which will include the installation of Technogym equipment and an upgrade of the changing rooms.
Mark Burbidge, general manager of the National Badminton Centre, says: “We were looking to improve both the quality of the facilities and service with a more hands on and responsive management of the club. Fusion’s approach was deemed to meet the brief.”
Mark Talley, Fusion’s regional operations manager, adds: “The club has enormous potential. As a not for profit organisation we are able to plough profits back into the continued development of the facility.”
