G Casino launches in Blackpool
Rank Group has opened its third G Casino site at the former Grosvenor Casino Sandcastle in Blackpool.
The 37,000 sq ft venue underwent a £3.5m refurbishment transforming it into a G Casino.
The G Casino Sandcastle boasts one of the UK’s biggest poker rooms, seating up to 250 people and the main gaming floor has 15 gaming tables in addition to the casinos 46 slot machines.
A low stakes gaming area will be available for novice gamers and groups.
Peter McCann, managing director of Grosvenor and G Casino’s said: “The G brand is all about giving people a great alternative for a night out.
“With two G Casinos already open in Bury New Road, Manchester and Luton we’re extremely pleased with how the new brand has been received and plan to re-brand further venues in the future, including our Hard Rock Casino in London’s Leicester Square later this year.”
“With the new gambling act coming into play later this year we feel that the G Casino brand will enable us to maximise the opportunities which arise as a result of the new legislation and further position casinos as an alternative night out to a mainstream audience.”
Facilities at the G Casino Sandcastle will also include a late night bar hosting regular live entertainment and a new 82-cover restaurant called The Dining Room.More News
