GO! rebrands as Citrus Gym
Executives at Brazil’s express fitness franchise company GO! 30 Minute Workout have announced a change of name to Citrus Gym.
Meanwhile, the company has also announced its first round of outside investment. The two investors – who will each receive equity positions in the company and roles on its board of directors – are Tom Behan, co-founder of The Alaska Clubs and former chair of the IHRSA board of directors, and Mark Smith, former chair of Town Sports International.
The company is aiming to sell 25 franchises in Brazil in 2006, and 400 sites across Latin America by 2010.
John Hersh, founder and president of Citrus Gym, said: “We now have five sites open in Brazil, with a strong pipeline of franchise prospects.”
