Gainsborough Leisure Centre to get £269,000 revamp
A new art and dance studio will be created as part of a £269,000 refurbishment scheme at West Lindsey District Centre in Gainsborough.
The investment, which comes from West Lindsey District Council will see unused areas of the building refurbished and bought back into use to accommodate for a rise in attendance of 21 per cent since 2007.
The reorganisation of the facility will allow for the new dance studio with sprung floors and a new integrated music system. The current dance studio will be refurbished to become a spin studio for spin bikes.
In addition, a heavy weights area will be provided, which will free up space in the gym for additional equipment.
Construction and refurbishment work has already started and is expected to be completed by October.
