Gaming Insight signs up with gambling magnate
Gaming Insight has launched a joint venture with the Victor Chandler Group to develop its digital greyhound racing channel, GoBarkingMad.
Under the agreement with Newcote International, the holding company of the Victor Chandler Group, the new joint venture company called Red Bet Racing, will use Victor Chandler's betting infrastructure to provide telephone and interactive fixed odds betting for greyhound racing. GoBarkingMad will be rebranded as Red Button Racing.
Chairman of the group and one of the most prominent figures in the bookmaking industry, Victor Chandler, is to join the Gaming Insight board as a non-executive director. The product will also be marketed to Victor Chandler customers.
Gaming Insight also announced that it had raised £2m by placing 200,000 new shares.
'We're delighted to have secured this tie-up,' said chairman of Gaming Insight, Nigel Robertson, 'Red Bet Racing will enable Gaming Insight to accelerate its development into a significant player in the worldwide greyhound racing market.'
