Gardaland prepares for new rollercoaster
Gardaland theme park in Italy has launched a new web-based game offering players the chance to be among the first riders of Raptor, its new rollercoaster.
The winged coaster, designed by Swiss ride manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, is due to open to the public on 1 April 2011.
The attraction will take riders from an underground station and will feature three inversions and end in a water splash.
As part of the pre-launch marketing campaign, Gardaland has set up a dedicated website – gardalandraptor.it – which includes an on line game running until 7 March.
By completing a number of Raptor-themed tasks, gamers can qualify to be among the first 23 members of public to experience the coaster.
