Genting launches New York City casino
Genting Malaysia has announced the opening of the new Resorts World Casino New York City (RWNY) at the Aqueduct Racetrack, which is the first casino to open in the US city.
The new complex will be run by Genting New York, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genting Malaysia, and is located adjacent to John F Kennedy International Airport in Queens.
RWNY currently comprises the first-floor Times Square Casino with nearly 2,500 electronic slot machines and table games, along with dining experiences from around the world.
Bar 360 and Lounge at the heart of the gaming floor, which caters for 200 people set around a stage, has also been unveiled as part of phase one of the new venue.
The next phase will see the 5th Avenue Casino and Crockfords Casino launch on the second floor in the coming two months, along with the Central Park Events Center.
A Genting spokesperson said: "RWNY will offer to New Yorkers and tourists a premier entertainment hub providing a world-class gaming and entertainment experience, with casino machines, shows, events and culinary delights."
