Genting to refurbish Manchester casino
More than £4m is to be invested over the coming months in a comprehensive renovation of Manchester's Genting Club, which will update and expand the venue's existing facilities.
The entertainment and gaming complex - formerly called the Circus Casino - will stay open for the duration of the refurbishment, which is scheduled for completion in October.
Work will include the creation of a new VIP Salle Privee for high-stakes gaming and a more open reception area, as well as expanded restaurant and bar areas nearer to the entrance.
Elsewhere, a stage will be installed in order to facilitate more entertainment and conferencing events. The Genting Club will also provide interactive table surfaces in the bar and lounge.
Genting Club Manchester general manager Debbie Phillips said: "We already have some of the best gaming facilities in the city, and we wanted to improve these for the benefit of all our customers."
