Germans take a hike
The popular Finnish activity of Nordic Walking is heading for Germany.
The Family Gym health club in Jessen, has already taken its first group of walkers out to practice striding along using walking sticks similar to ski poles.
The Family Club said the activity is ideal for men and women of all ages, being easy on the joints and an effective fat burner.
It is also marketing Nordic Walking as a summer training tool for skiers.
