Get more active - it'll pay for your train ticket
A new initiative, launched by the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Organising Committee (SOOC), is offering commuters on the Moscow underground tickets in exchange for an exercise session.
An interactive machine has been set up at one of the "metro" stations in west Moscow, which hands out a free ride for anyone performing 30 squats within two minutes.
The campaign is part of SOOC's aims to promote exercise and make Russians more active ahead of the Winter Olympics in February.
Other, similar projects launched as part of the strategy include turning the hanging handles on buses into exercise bands and installing exercise bikes that produce electricity to charge cellphones in town and city centres.
