Getting The Edge on Gunwharf Quay
Health and fitness club, The Edge, is to open at Gunwharf Quays, the award winning £200m mixed-use regeneration project on Portsmouth Harbour’s waterfront.
The group has taken a 25-year lease on a 6,700sq ft unit above Tiger Tiger and Ha Ha! Bar & Canteen in the Vernon Suite on Gunwharf’s prime waterfront.
Scheduled to open in September, The Edge will serve as a private health and fitness club serving residents and workers in and around Gunwharf Quay. It will offer a range of fitness and relaxation facilities, whilst having a specialist focus towards martial arts-based activities for both men and women.
Gunwharf Quays – in addition to over 65 designer outlets and 25 restaurants and bars – incorporates an 11-screen Warner Village cinema, a 26-lane Bowlplex, a Jongleurs Comedy Club and a Tiger Tiger late night venue.
They will be joined later this year by a new Grosvenor Casino and a 130-room Express by Holiday Inn hotel.
