Getting in shape in Spain
Shapemaster has opened a new inch loss centre in Madrid, Spain, with its Spanish distributors, Raymond Kearney and Tony Dennis.
The Sophia Wellness Centre is the third centre in Spain run by Kearney and Dennis.
The others – in Cabo Roig and Torrevieja – opened in the last year.
More than 90 per cent of the members in Cabo Roig are ex-pats from the UK and Ireland.
In Torrevieja it is closer to 50/50 Spanish/English, and in Madrid it is 100 per cent Spanish.
“This is a product that is right for the market and both the English and Spanish are excited about what it can do for them,” says Kearney.
The clubs are presented as ladies-only inch loss centres but, three evenings a week, offer mixed sessions.
Shapemaster has centres in Madrid, Tenerife, Cabo Roig, Torrevieja, Murcia, Campo Verde, Dolores, Javea, Los Alcazares, Los Montesinos, Quesada and San Miguel De Salinas. This number is set to quadruple in the next two years.
