The Rezidor Hotel Group is to open the Radisson Blu Hotel, Accra, the company's first hotel in the African state of Ghana.

Scheduled to open in 2013, the property will be in the city's business district and offer 168 guest rooms - including 20 apartments - plus a restaurant and two bars, 300sq m (3,230sq ft) of meeting space, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool. The new opening will join 36 existing Rezidor hotels, equating to almost 8,300 rooms, either in operation or under development across 15 African countries.
