Give It A GO! launched
A scheme to offer every disadvantaged Camden resident a free one month gym membership has just launched.
The Give It A Go! programme started with a mail-out at the beginning of April to every Camden resident on benefits, offering them the chance to join any one of five gyms in the Borough including The Armoury run by Jubilee Hall Trust.
The first 1,000 free spaces were quickly snapped up and Jubilee Hall Trust now has a waiting list.
Any of the participants who attends the gym at least five times in the month of May will qualify for a further three months’ free gym membership as well as some free one-to-one supervised sessions.
The programme is a partnership between NHS London, Camden council, Jubilee Hall Trust, GLL and the Central YMCA.
