Glasgow leisure and retail development
Work gets underway next month (March) on the development of Glasgow Fort Shopping Park, a joint venture between Capital & Regional and Pillar Property.
The 90-acre brownfield site east of Glasgow was acquired from Glasgow City Council in exchange for Junction 10 retail park and £25m cash.
The developers are currently in talks with operators for the 15,000sq ft of leisure use in first phase of the scheme. Around 100,000sq ft of leisure planned for phase two and there is also planning consent for a 60-bed hotel.
Completion is due in autumn 2004. Details: www.pillarproperty.com
