Global Fitness Education adds certificate in PT
Global Fitness Education (GFE) has become one of the first training providers to deliver the new QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework) Level 3 certificate in personal training.
The new Level 3 certificate in personal training covers one-to-one training, baseline assessment, nutritional advice and progressive programming which are specific to the individual needs of a client.
The qualification content focuses on key areas of knowledge for personal trainers, including anatomy and physiology, how to programme safe and effective exercise for clients of all ages, and how to efficiently communicate and motivate clients.
GFE is an approved centre of Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ), which awards the new certification.
Jenny Patrickson, director of awarding at CYQ, said: "In order to develop these new fit-for purpose qualifications we have engaged with employers, training providers and learners to ensure that they meet the needs of today's health and fitness industry. This is a significant new launch for CYQ, heralding exciting opportunities for employers and our learners."
