Good trading and fitness growth for De Vere

De Vere Group has released a trading update for the year to 29 September ahead of results to be announced on 4 December.

Trading is said to be in line with expectations with De Vere Hotels and Village Hotels & Leisure Clubs maintaining sales growth.

Turnover within its Greens health and fitness clubs has increased by 77 per cent thanks to the opening of four new clubs and increasing membership levels. Greens now operates 14 clubs with 59,300 members and is expected to show an operating profit of £1.3m when results are released in December.

Membership at De Vere's Village Hotels and Leisure Clubs has grown by 14.8 per cent to 56,800.
