GoodLlife named as an outstanding business
GoodLife Fitness Clubs has been recognised for ‘outstanding business practices’ by making it into Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies 2003.
Sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, National Post and Queen’s School of Business, the annual award scheme is in its 11th year.
By conducting interviews, scrutinising financial performance and judging a written submission, it aims to identify the companies that have embraced best practice in all areas from customers, employees, and suppliers.
GoodLife Fitness Clubs has 75 clubs in Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Canada. It’s latest club opened last month in Calgary.
Speaking of the company’s achievement, CEO and founder of the group, David Patchell-Evans said: “You can compete off adrenalin but sooner or later you’ll run out of steam.
“Instead, we have maintained a highly enduring level of performance and highly competitive ways of operation, by sticking to our core philosophy of caring for our members and staff.”
