Government-backed hotel opens in Wales
A Welsh hotel that received a grant from VisitWales in order to complete a £1.5m revamp will open next month.
The redevelopment work on the Best Western Rossett Hall Hotel near Wrexham included the construction of 20 new rooms, as well as the complete refurbishment of the existing 30 bed rooms.
The hotel was opened to guests throughout the construction work, which began in January 2007.
Darryl Shaw, hotel director, said the : “It has been a tricky process to manage the project at times, particularly during the busy times.”
According to VisitWales, the revamp will benefit the region’s tourism industry. Patricia Crimp, head of events at VisitWales, said: ”Improving the quality of facilities at the hotel will go a long way to market North Wales as a prime location to do business.”
