Grévin & Cie, the Compagnie des Alpes (CDA) subsidiary, has taken over Aquaparc at Lake Geneva.
Aquaparc SA remains the owner of the buildings, which are being rented to the purchaser for 30 years.
CDA, which specialises in family entertainment facilities anchored in their local environments, is making its first acquisition in Switzerland while also extending its product range. 'Our acquisition of Grévin & Cie last year is living up to our expectations. For our group, family entertainment facilities are the major source of growth in the next few years,' says Jean-Pierre Sonois, chief executive of CDA.
Aquaparc welcomes over 300,000 visitors a year, posting a turnover of EUR6.1m.
