Hotel Management company Grand City Hotels has partnered with Wyndham Hotel Group for "the greatest restructuring in the groups corporate history to date" as it prepares to rebrand 43 of its hotels.

The properties, which have more than 5,400 guestrooms, will be branded under Wyndham Hotel Group brand names.

By 1 March 2013, the first 33 of the 43 selected locations will be rebranded and the remaining hotels will follow over the next two years.

A third of the Grand City Hotels portfolio of 120 hotels will be affiliated with Wyndham Hotel Group under the Wyndham Grand, Wyndham, Wyndham Garden, TRYP by WyndhamSM and Days Inn flags.

All of the hotels are located in Germany with the exception of two, which will become TRYP by Wyndham properties in Antwerp, Belgium, and in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Wyndham Hotel Group, which currently has 54 properties in Germany, will have 95 in the country once all hotels rebrand.

Christian Windfuhr, CEO, Grand City Hotels, said: "We are more than convinced by Wyndham Hotel Group's competence, capability and brand image and also believe, looking at the extent of the agreement, we can facilitate a strong and successful entry to the German hotel market for our new partner."
