Grant for Wheelchair Sports

The British Wheelchair Sports Foundation has received the largest Sport England community grant to be awarded this year.
The money, over £5.2m, will go towards refurbishing and enlarging the Guttman Sports and Leisure Centre in Stoke Mandeville, known for its provision of integrated facilities for the disabled and able bodied sports participants.
The Foundation needs to raise a further £2m to meet the estimated total project cost of £9.5m.
