Greek first for Doubletree by Hilton
Hilton Worldwide has opened its first Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Greece - the Doubletree by Hilton Resort, Kos-Helona. The hotel will be operated by AKTI Helona S.A. Tourist and Commercial Enterprises under a franchise agreement.
Consisting of seven two-storey buildings, the hotel - on the south coast of Kos in the Dodecanese islands - offers 238 rooms, two tennis courts, a children's playground and club, and 21 swimming pools. Elsewhere is the Wellness and Longevity Centre Spa, which features four treatment rooms, a special chromotherapy room, a double ayurvedic suite and a wet room with a floating bed. The spa also has a hamam and a sauna, a heated swimming pool and a fitness room.
Dining options include the Helona Restaurant, offering indoor and terrace eating with evening buffet selections, the poolside Thalassa Restaurant and the Ammos Beach Bar, the latter providing light lunches, snacks and beverages. The resort's 8,600sq ft (799sq m) conference centre can be configured to create event and conference space for up to 700 people.
