Green & Red Mexican opens on Bethnal Green Road
A new Mexican restaurant called Green & Red Bar and Cantina has opened on Bethnal Green Road in London.
The property is a collaboration between Huw Gott, Will Beckett and The Worldwide Cocktail Club (WCC).
The 50-cover, two-storey restaurant and bar is the second venue for Gott and Beckett, who opened The Redchurch Bar and Café – opposite Green & Red – two years ago.
Green & Red cost £300,000 to develop and has been entirely funded by the directors.
Architects were Steve Sinclair and Paolo Mozzato from FourthSpace with design by Charles Bickford.
Gott and Beckett aim to offer authentic Mexican food based on research trips to the country as well as Tequila-based cocktails developed by the WCC and served at three distinct bars.
