Greene King sells eight pubs
Christie & Co has announced the sale of eight pubs on behalf of Greene King. Seven have been sold to Punch Pub Co and one to a residential developer.
The eight public houses were all managed, wet-led community pubs - seven freehold and one long-leasehold.
The seven properties purchased by Punch Pub Co, including the Brewster, Kingston Upon Thames and the Lamb, Bristol are to be converted to tied leases. The purchase price was closed to the combined asking price of £2,800,000.
The eighth pub in the group, the Seven Stiles in Tillingbourne Green, near Orpington, Kent, was sold to a developer for residential development at a price substantially in excess of the vendor's expectations. Details: Ian Garrood, Christie & Co +44 (0)20 7227 0732.
