local Resort developer Grupo Mariana Family of Resorts has engaged with UK-based investment specialists Convex Capital to provide strategic investment planning of the Seaside Mariana Spa and Golf Resort in Nicaragua.

Located near the village of San Rafael Del Sur, the resort will cover 923 acres. Amenities will include a destination spa, a boutique hotel, a beach club and a museum.

Convex Capital will develop a cohesive corporate funding strategy and present this Nicaraguan property opportunity to a variety of funding sources, such as high net worth individuals, institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds.

According to Grupo Mariana chair Kevin Fleming, the alliance is anticipated to attract around US$200m (151.9m euro, £140.7m) to Seaside Mariana.

“We are very pleased with the access to international funding that the alliance with Convex Capital provides us,” Fleming said. “This will enable us to increase the momentum of our development phases of the project and support Fundación Mariana within the local communities.
