Guernsey tourist attraction put up for sale
Guernsey-based Swoffers Commercial has been appointed to secure a buyer for the freehold of Oatlands, St Sampsons – one of the island's largest visitor attractions.
The attraction, which occupies a 6-acre (2.4-hectare) site, is centred around two listed 19th century brick kilns, two thatched barns and a traditional four-bedroom Guernsey farm house. Facilities include a miniature golf course and a children's party zone - The Jungle House, which includes an indoor play zone, go-kart and quad race tracks and a coffee shop.
Oatlands also boasts outlets offering a range of services from picture framing to chocolate making, while planning consent is in place for a new 6,000sq ft (557sq m) children's activity barn. John Tostevin, one of Oatlands' co-owners since 1997, said: "We have run the business successfully for thirteen years and it is now time to move on to other interests. We are very proud of the operation and are confident that it has a great future in the right hands."
